Job Summary
nSpeech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP) Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position involves providing specialized speech-language pathology services within an LTACH environment. The role supports adult patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and respiratory failure, ensuring comprehensive communication and swallowing assessments.
nJob Details
nnRequired Qualifications: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on inpatient care.
nSchedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
nAdditional Information: The role involves working with patients aged 18 and older in an LTACH setting, utilizing equipment such as MBSS swallow chair, C-arm for MBSS, and FEES equipment. The unit features 57 beds, with patient populations including those with stroke, TBIs, cardiac arrest, encephalopathy, and respiratory failure. Efficient documentation and good communication skills are preferred, along with energetic and team-oriented personalities.
