Job description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact SLP license for a long-term care nursing facility assignment.
Requirements
At least 2 years of SLP experience required
Valid TX SLP license or compact license required, if applicable
License required if applicable
Responsibilities
Long-term care nursing facility setting with 102 beds
Speech Language Pathology unit
Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and decrease aspiration risk
Implement communication treatment plans to help residents be better understood and understand others
Lead, guide, and direct delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
Ensure services align with established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate resident care
