Job description
An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support a 49-bed hospital in Jackson, WY, on an 8-week travel assignment with a possible extension. This role is critical to maintain pharmacy operations while covering for staff on extended leave.
Location:
Jackson, Wyoming
Schedule:
Monday through Friday: 6:15 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 7:15 AM to 12:00 PM (on-call after hours)
Current staff schedule consists of 10-hour shifts with one weekend per month; flexible interim scheduling available (e.g., 7 days on/7 days off).
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services with minimal training required.
Utilize Cerner and Pyxis systems effectively to ensure accurate medication dispensing and management.
Collaborate with the pharmacy director and remaining pharmacy staff to maintain seamless operations.
Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Wyoming pharmacist license.
Minimum of two years inpatient pharmacy experience.
Strong proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
One managerial reference validating your experience and professionalism.
