Job description
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant with CSFA certification and 3+ years of experience for a hospital surgical services position supporting multiple specialties.
Requirements
CSFA certification required
BLS and ACLS certification required
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant
Experience suturing and closing incision sites highly preferred
License required if applicable
Must pass EKG competency test
Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Responsibilities
4x10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
Supports general, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, and urology surgical cases
Uses Epic charting system
Weekday call required once per week (5:15 PM–6:45 AM)
Weekend call required every 6th weekend (Friday 5:15 PM through Monday 6:45 AM)
Assist surgeons across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, and urology procedures
First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility
