Description
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist for a busy 16-room OR with robotic, ortho, and neuro/spine surgical experience required.
Details
Work in a 16-operating room surgical department at a hospital campus
Team-based staffing model with one RN, surgical assist, and surgical tech per OR room on day shift, tapering to fewer teams during evenings
Night shift is call-only coverage
Procedures performed include robotic, neurosurgery, general, plastics, urology, and orthopedic surgeries, excluding transplant and cardiac cases
Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Call rotation averages 2 shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekend primary/backup coverage
No floating required
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Robotic surgery experience required
Orthopedic surgery experience required
CST certification required
Virginia state license required if applicable
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Facility requires candidates live outside a 50-mile radius of the worksite and does not accept local candidates
