Job description
American Traveler seeks a Surgical First Assistant with independent endoscopic vein harvest and open heart experience for a hospital CVOR position.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro devices
Minimum of 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience
CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification required
License required if applicable
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
Cardiac First Assist role in a hospital with 2.5 CVORs
Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM over a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
On-call requirement every third weekend and every third weekday
Floats to Main OR as needed
Typical procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and open and endovascular aorta repair, as well as thoracic cases
Assist in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures as part of the surgical team
Scrubs provided by the hospital
Does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
