Job description
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with cardiothoracic OR experience for a CVOR position at a large teaching hospital.
Requirements
AHA BLS certification required
NBSTSA certification required
CNOR certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Prior travel assignment experience required
Large, teaching hospital experience required
Level 1 trauma center experience within the last year, with at least 1 year of overall trauma experience
Experience in single scrub capacity for CT/cardiothoracic cases required
Solid working knowledge of ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro procedures
License required if applicable
Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
Responsibilities
Level 1 trauma teaching hospital OR unit
10-hour rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week
Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
Floating, call, and weekend coverage required as needed
Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties within the CVOR setting
Work as part of a scrub team in a fast-paced, large academic hospital environment
Employment gaps over 90 days should be explained during the application process
Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible for local rates
Candidates within 51-100 miles are eligible for radius-based pay rates
Candidates beyond 101 miles qualify for standard travel rates
First-time travelers will not be considered due to prior travel experience requirement
