Job description
American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of cardiac experience for an acute care hospital assignment.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of cardiac surgical tech experience required
BLS certification required
Crisis Protocol Approved certification required
License required if applicable
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Responsibilities
Acute care CVOR unit with 2 surgical suites averaging 4 cases per day
Common procedures include CABG, TAVR, and minimally invasive and open valve replacements
4x10-hour day shifts (6:30a-5p)
Call requirement of 10 call shifts per 6-week schedule, with 30-minute response time
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Floating to the Main OR may be required
Uses Epic EMR
Work alongside CVOR RNs and OR techs under charge nurse/house supervisor oversight
Facility provides scrubs
Unit-specific orientation provided
Mandatory call/standby participation required for all staff
Some states require candidates to reside a minimum distance from the facility to be eligible for this position
