Surgical/Operating Room Technician
Position Summary:
FSN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical/Operating Room Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you'll support surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care for both adult and pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, supplies, and anticipating their needs promptly.
Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control protocols throughout all surgical activities.
Handle, count, and track surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies to uphold patient safety standards.
Aid in patient positioning and preparation prior to surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform post-operative cleanup of operating rooms, including proper disposal of biohazard materials.
Manage inventory, report supply and equipment needs, and assist in maintaining necessary stock levels.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current CST or TS-C certification
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Minimum of 3yearsof recent experience in a level 1 or level 2 trauma center
Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule:
Day and Evening shifts available
5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
