FSN is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical / Operating Room Technician to join our team. This role supports surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe and efficient surgical care for adult and/or pediatric patients. The OR Tech is responsible for preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and equipment.
Ensure all instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready for procedures.
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and anticipating surgical needs.
Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control practices throughout procedures.
Handle, count, and track surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure patient safety.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
Perform post-procedure cleanup and ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials.
Support turnover of operating rooms between cases in an efficient manner.
Maintain inventory and report supply and equipment needs.
Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Surgical/Operating Room Technician in a hospital setting
Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule:
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
