Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, New York.
Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary (in List Format):
Role: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required (unless exempt per NY experience before 2015)
Experience: Minimum 3 years (3+ years preferred)
Specialty: General Operating Room (OR) with coverage of 12 surgical service lines
Skills/Procedures:
General and advanced laparoscopic surgery (gastric bypass, sleeve, lap band, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, colon resection, etc.)
Vascular procedures (aortic aneurysm repair, endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid angioplasty/endarterectomy, femoral-popliteal bypass)
ENT surgery (direct laryngoscopy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tracheostomy)
Gynecological procedures (anterior/posterior repair, tubal ligation, cervical cerclage, D&C, laparoscopic GYN procedures)
Neurosurgery (anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusions, craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF)
Orthopedic surgery (carpal tunnel, fracture reduction, spinal fusion, total hip/knee replacement, bunionectomy, metatarsal surgery, hallux valgus)
Breast and thyroid surgery (mastectomy, tram flap reconstruction, thyroidectomy)
Colorectal and robotic surgery (colorectal robotic, Da Vinci Xi)
Thoracic surgery (mediastinoscopy, VATS)
Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, lithotripsy, ureteroscopy)
Knowledge/Expertise:
Decontamination and sterilization processes and indicators
Aseptic technique
Sharps safety
Specimen handling and labeling
Universal Protocol (time out procedure)
Management/lead experience preferred
Scheduling:
Call required: 6 shifts per 8-week block, including weekends and holidays
6 weekend/holiday shifts per 8-week contract
Other Details:
Facility does NOT accept first-time travelers
Locals not accepted (must be >
75 miles from facility)
EPIC experience preferred
Scrubs provided

Med Ninjas Job ID #18904. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
