Job Summary
American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The assignment begins on 05/04/2026 and lasts 13 weeks , with a 12‑hour night shift schedule for a total of 36 hours per week .
Assignment Overview
Shift: 3 x 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 hrs/wk

Details
Work in a 36‑bed Telemetry unit at a hospital in Bowling Green, KY.
Patient ratios typically 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum 6:1 (may occasionally reach 7:1).
PCTs are available on both day and night shifts; Unit Clerks available on day shift only.
Equipment: remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.
Charting performed in Meditech.
Every other weekend rotation required.
Travelers float first and may be assigned to Ortho/Med‑Surg as needed.
13‑week contract.
Requirements
Active KY or Compact RN license.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) that do not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start.
Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management.
US Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB) required for consideration – Canadian SSNs not accepted.
One professional reference.
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
Additional Information
Procedures performed: chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, thoracentesis.
The unit follows a Telemetry Monitoring Policy and a Stroke Policy.
Any scrubs are acceptable except camouflage print.
Staff recognition: Daisy and Bee award certificates, monthly staff‑voted STAR award.
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility – local candidates are not eligible.
AHA or ARC certifications accepted.
