American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 1, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for an Oncology floor position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic proficiency. Details Oncology floor within the Telemetry unit Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Every other weekend required Floating to other Telemetry floors as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license in hand Current certifications: ACLS and BLS via AHA, NIH Stroke Scale ONS certification preferred Chemo certification preferred 2 years of recent, consecutive Telemetry experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic experience required Degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, oncology care, chemotherapy monitoring, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment with 100% on lethal rhythms and 83% or greater overall Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care on an oncology unit, including dysrhythmia monitoring and chemotherapy management Required to work 23 major holidays (both eve and day shifts) No block scheduling requests accepted Smoke-free facility Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower bill rate Former Broward Health employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P- . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
