American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 1, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic proficiency. Details Telemetry unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Every other weekend (EOW) required Must float to other Telemetry floors as needed Holiday coverage required as needed, including 23 major holidays (eve and day) No block scheduling requests accepted Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital Epic EMR experience required Skilled in managing drips, peripheral/central line care and management, and interpreting dysrhythmias Degree required from an accredited school or an institution approved by FBON Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG competency assessment Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care including drip management, line care, and dysrhythmia interpretation Smoke-free facility Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate Former Broward Health permanent employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P- .
