Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in telemetry nursing and demonstrate proficiency in reading cardiac telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips.
Scheduled Details Shift: 12-hour Weekend Nights
Days: Friday to Sunday
Hours:
Experience Requirements Must have an Associate’s degree in nursing
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital
Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam prior to submission
Preferred Experience Bachelor’s degree in nursing
License and Certification Requirements Current RN license in Kansas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Requirements Ability to float to other units based on divisional needs, including acute care and overflow/surge units
Availability to work every weekend with a set schedule
Required to work two major holidays, selecting from designated dates
Unit Information 36 beds - including rooms and semi-private spaces
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4
General medical-surgical/telemetry unit
Orientation Details Orientation will occur on the Monday and Tuesday of the starting week, including:
KU NEO training
KU DON training on Wednesday and Thursday
Virtual EPIC training on Friday
Credentialing Expectations Credentialing must include completed CBC, DS, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
