American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lakewood, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 9, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night-shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, EPIC experience, and at least 1 year of telemetry/acute care nursing experience. Details Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit setting Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30 Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Use of Rapid Response/Code teams for emergency response IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care Management of cardiac drips (no titration required) Respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration Isolation precautions and PPE use required EPIC EMR experience required Requirements Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in-hand Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required Minimum 1 year of telemetry/specialty experience within the last 2 years required EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history Two supervisor references required Prior travel nursing experience typically required Additional Information First-time travelers may be considered per position exceptions Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Previous permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred RTO requests must be confirmed and submitted at the time of application Manager interview may or may not be conducted prior to placement American Traveler Job ID P- .
