American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lakewood, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a day shift position requiring an active CA RN license and at least 1 year of telemetry experience. Details Work in the Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Utilizes Epic EMR system Requirements Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted) Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care and telemetry experience required Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management (no titration), and non-invasive airway/oxygen management Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required Two supervisor references required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, rapid response coordination, and management of IV and line therapies Use of rapid response and code teams as part of standard unit protocol First-time travelers are not accepted for this position; prior travel experience required Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P- .
