American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 23, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications along with active PA or Compact RN licensure. Details Work on a Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30) Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed Cerner charting system experience preferred Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday Requirements Active PA or Compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Prior travel nursing experience required Charge nurse, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry interpretation Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred Experience managing respiratory interventions such as BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred SSN, DOB, RTO, and valid driver's license required for consideration Two supervisor references preferred Additional Information Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias Manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and respiratory conditions Support rapid response and code team interventions as needed Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address Local candidates are not accepted for this position Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before applying through an agency Travelers who complete a cumulative year within the health system must wait two years before returning for another assignment Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing All compliance requirements must be finalized by the Wednesday prior to the start date Approximately 1 hour of pre-start training modules required before entering the facility American Traveler Job ID P- .
