Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a teaching hospital setting requiring CA RN licensure, BSN, and prior cardiac telemetry experience. Details Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment Cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele patient population Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Float requirement to other UCSF facilities within 75 mile radius if job specifications are met Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission BSN required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 5 years clinical experience required for first-time travelers Telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and MS/Tele experience required Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history Epic charting system experience required 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Responsibilities include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and respiratory support such as BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration ER Holding experience preferred Charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of a scheduled booster appointment before start date Prior travel assignment experience within the last 12 months required unless candidate qualifies as a first-time traveler with 5 years experience Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review RTO must be disclosed and approved at time of offer; no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers American Traveler Job ID P- .
