Weekend Hours: As required by facility/every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Required Licensure: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.)
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
Preferred Certifications: NIHSS
Years of Experience: 1 year Cardiac Stepdown
Float Requirements: as needed, to a similar or lower acuity unit

Number of Beds: 32
Patient Ratios: 1:3-1:4
Equipment: Chest tubes, Temp Pacemakers, Bipaps
EMR: EPIC
Hiring Profile
Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Cardiac Stepdown, inpatient only
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
Type of Patients on Unit: Post op CABG/ Valve, Thoracotomies, Resp. Failure, Chest pain
Personality Fit: Must be a team player and promote positive culture
Dress Code
Scrub Color: All Black w/ Mercy Logo on top
Any unacceptable attire: Hoodies, jackets without Mercy logo, t-shirts, open toed shoes, no earbuds, no fake nails
Auto Offer Guidelines
Flexible Guaranteed Hours - 36 or 48 hours - must be listed on submission form
Blocked Scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements - must be listed on submission form
RTO of 5 days or less, must make up the week on the back end
Holiday RTO – can request only 1 per assignment
Auto Offers are contingent upon facility approval. Offer may be retracted within 48 hours by the facility.
Night shift orients on day shift. Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.
