These interim assignments go beyond the traditional Administrator role. You’ll have the opportunity to step into communities during periods of transition, provide stability and leadership, strengthen operations, support teams, and help drive meaningful improvements in resident care and overall performance.

If you’re the type of leader who can walk into a building, quickly assess operations, build trust with a team, and create a path forward—this is where your skills shine.

Why this role stands out:

Step into high-impact assignments where your leadership and experience truly matter

Work across diverse skilled nursing communities and operational environments

Partner directly with regional leaders, clinical teams, ownership groups, and other key stakeholders to drive outcomes

Build your portfolio with turnarounds, survey improvement, operational stabilization, census growth, and team development wins

Experience the variety and flexibility of interim leadership while having the support of an experienced senior living consulting and management organization

Join a firm known for integrity, hospitality, and results‑driven consulting

What you’ll do:

Provide interim Nursing Home Administrator leadership for skilled nursing communities throughout Minnesota

Lead and stabilize facility operations during periods of leadership transition or operational need

Oversee day‑to‑day operations while promoting high‑quality resident care and service

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

Maintain survey readiness and lead the community through regulatory surveys and plans of correction, as needed

Partner closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical and operational outcomes

Assess current systems, processes, staffing, and performance and implement sustainable improvements

Recruit, mentor, develop, and support department leaders while building a positive and accountable workplace culture

Monitor key operational metrics, including staffing, labor, census, revenue, expenses, quality measures, and resident satisfaction

Develop and execute strategies to improve financial and operational performance

Support census development, referral relationships, and overall community growth

Communicate effectively with residents, families, employees, physicians, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders

Provide clear updates and recommendations to organizational and client leadership throughout each assignment

What you bring:

Current Minnesota Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing

Proven leadership experience as a Nursing Home Administrator in a skilled nursing/long‑term care setting

Strong knowledge of CMS requirements, Minnesota regulations, survey processes, and skilled nursing operations

Demonstrated ability to lead communities through transition, operational challenges, or performance improvement initiatives

Strong financial and operational acumen, including experience managing budgets, labor, staffing, and census

Ability to quickly assess a community, establish priorities, and implement meaningful change

Strong communication, relationship‑building, and team development skills

Ability to work independently and confidently in changing environments

Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout Minnesota based on client and community needs

Experience with interim leadership, turnaround environments, survey recovery, or multi‑site operations is strongly preferred

At HDG, you’re not just filling a role—you’re helping communities move forward. Backed by a company with more than 20 years of trusted leadership in senior care, you’ll have access to an experienced team of operational, clinical, financial, and workforce professionals who understand the challenges facing skilled nursing providers.
