Traveling Precision Millwright Superintendent (Turbine & Compressor) | Direct Hire
Location: Traveling, multiple U.S. project sites | Full-time company employee

Role
Leads field installation of rotating equipment on industrial projects, including steam and gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pumps, gearboxes and associated skids. Plans work sequences, directs millwright crews, and ensures installation meets vendor specifications, drawings and industry standards. Coordinates with project management, engineering, OEM representatives and other discipline leads.
Responsibilities
Direct precision setting, leveling, alignment, grouting and baseplate work
Plan and supervise rigging and critical lifts for heavy equipment
Oversee piping connections to machinery, including strain checks
Coordinate OEM field service, commissioning support and mechanical completion
Track progress, productivity and cost; report to project management
Run safety meetings and inspections; enforce OSHA and company safety requirements
Mentor field personnel
Qualifications
Superintendent or equivalent field leadership experience on industrial projects (refining, gas processing, power, chemical)
Hands-on turbine and compressor installation experience, with precision alignment (laser alignment) expertise
Ability to read vendor drawings, OEM manuals, foundation and general arrangement drawings
Working knowledge of machinery installation standards (for example API 610, 617, 686)
Rigging and lift-planning experience
Strong safety record
Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent training preferred
Willing to travel full-time, project to project
