Join a dynamic construction organization specializing in hotel renovations projects. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle, from planning and bidding through completion, while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, hotel teams, and brand partners. As a Traveling Project Engineer/Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping active hotel projects organized, on schedule, and focused on guest experience while traveling to properties across the country.
Responsibilities:
Support hotel renovation projects from planning through completion.
Travel onsite to walk properties, inspect progress, and help keep projects moving forward.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, hotel teams, and brand partners.
Track project schedules, budgets, vendor timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Organize project documentation, including punch lists, reports, proposals, approvals, and scopes.
Help sequence construction work so hotels can remain operational and guest disruption is minimized.
Maintain clear communication among general managers, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Identify issues early, support risk mitigation, and help drive practical solutions.
Assist with bidding, vendor onboarding, compliance, and adherence to brand standards.
Must-Have Skills:
1–2 years of experience in hospitality, construction, project coordination, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage checklists, timelines, documents, and competing priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with hotel teams, contractors, and vendors.
Comfort working onsite in active hotels and construction environments.
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong follow-through.
Ability to travel up to 60% across hotel properties.
Ability to learn and interpret construction plans, scopes, schedules, and project documentation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with hotel renovations, capital projects, or hospitality construction.
Familiarity with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or other hotel brand standards.
Exposure to project scheduling, budget tracking, bidding, or vendor management.
Experience coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and multiple project stakeholders.
Knowledge of construction documentation, punch lists, proposals, approvals, and compliance processes.
Familiarity with project management or construction management software.
