Job description

Traveling PT / Physical Therapist

Imagine impacting lives each day, helping individuals take their first steps post-surgery, reclaim their independence after a stroke, or find their voice again. As a Traveling PT / Physical Therapist, you are not just a caregiver — you are an essential part of their journey towards recovery, bringing dignity, momentum, and hope at a pivotal time. Your next incredible opportunity awaits in Tacoma, Washington: a city where professional growth harmoniously blends with an inviting lifestyle that breathes life into your daily routine. We are in search of an empathetic and proficient Traveling PT / Physical Therapist to become a vital member of our distinguished team in Tacoma. Here, excellence in clinical practice merges seamlessly with a community that embraces and uplifts one another. If you are prepared to foster meaningful changes from the inside out, your moment has arrived! In this role, you will:

Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient facilities and customize treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

Implement therapeutic interventions centered on mobility enhancement, strength building, balance improvement, and functional recovery.

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists, to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and appropriate home exercises.

Maintain comprehensive records of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress according to regulatory and facility standards.

Engage actively in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent accredited degree.

Validation of state licensure as a Physical Therapist.

CPR certification is preferred.

Specialized certifications (e.g., in geriatrics or neurology) are advantageous but not mandatory.

Essential skills include:

A strong preference for previous clinical experience.

Expertise in managing complex medical conditions and mobility challenges.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Proficiency in digital patient documentation and clinical systems.

We offer:

A competitive compensation structure that recognizes your invaluable contributions.

A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.

Assistance with continuing education and reimbursement for licensure fees.

Paid time off combined with a flexible scheduling approach.

A supportive and encouraging workplace culture that emphasizes professional development.

Every interaction is an opportunity to make a profound difference. Whether you are helping someone regain balance after a surgical procedure or inspiring a stroke survivor with each enduring step, your role is pivotal during these transformative recovery stages. In this hands-on position, clinical expertise goes hand-in-hand with compassion. You will conduct assessments, implement targeted plans, and adjust strategies in real-time, fostering growth as patients find their path back to independence. Collaborating with your care team will ensure smooth transitions during discharge and guide them safely back home. In this role, precision and presence are critical, yet the rewards are immeasurable. You will see the immediate impact of your efforts and play a crucial part in enhancing lives.

We are searching for someone who embodies more than just their qualifications. You appreciate the healing power of movement, the significance of kindness, and the reality that progress manifests in myriad ways — from standing up to taking those monumental first steps. If you possess clinical excellence, emotional sensitivity, and thrive within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary atmosphere — whether you are just starting your professional journey or have years of experience — and if you cherish evidence-based care, collaboration, and genuine human connection, we are excited to meet you! This role transcends traditional job expectations. It is a calling where your knowledge aligns with purpose, allowing your presence to profoundly influence the world around you. As a Traveling PT / Physical Therapist in Tacoma, Washington, you will immerse yourself in a community of passionate colleagues, while enjoying a vibrant work culture and a stunning city that invigorates your spirit. We are committed to aiding you in advancing your career, enhancing your skill set, and rediscovering the joy of meaningful work. Join us — be part of a team and a locale that will inspire you every day.
