Job description

Plaintiff Personal Injury | Conroe, Texas | In-Office

A Meaningful Opportunity for an Experienced Trial-Minded Attorney

A well-established, close-knit personal injury law firm in downtown Conroe, Texas, is adding an experienced Trial Attorney to its team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to participate in both trial preparation and actual trial work.

The firm is intentional about how it serves clients. Rather than treating personal injury cases as volume-driven files, the team focuses on providing personalized legal guidance, treating every client with compassion and dignity, and moving matters toward efficient resolution.

THE ROLE

The Trial Attorney will play an important role in advancing plaintiff personal injury matters from litigation through resolution and trial. You will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to develop case strategy, prepare matters for trial, advocate for clients, and ensure files continue moving forward efficiently.

This position offers the opportunity to take on substantial responsibility while continuing to grow as a trial advocate and contributing to the firm's long‑term vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle plaintiff personal injury matters with a strong emphasis on client care, case strategy, and efficient file resolution.

Lead and support trial preparation, including legal research, pleadings, motions, discovery, evidence, exhibits, and other trial materials.

Participate in actual trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.

Apply the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence in daily litigation practice.

Develop practical case strategies and identify issues early so matters can continue moving forward.

Communicate directly with clients and provide thoughtful legal guidance throughout their cases.

Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to advance cases and complete the firm's mission.

Maintain high standards for legal writing, case preparation, organization, and client communication.

Contribute ideas and solutions that improve processes, technology, and the client experience.

Continue developing your litigation and trial skills through hands‑on experience, collaboration, and professional development.

Participate in team‑building, charitable, and community activities that reflect the firm's commitment to strengthening the local community.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will bring:

Exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

Experience working directly with the public , including at least five years of customer‑service experience.

Experience with the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence.

A demonstrated interest in trial work and trial advocacy , with a desire to participate meaningfully in actual trials.

Strong judgment, initiative, organization, and attention to detail.

A solutions‑oriented mindset and the ability to identify problems before they become larger issues.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A genuine commitment to treating clients with compassion, dignity, and respect.

The ability to work effectively within a close‑knit, highly collaborative team.

A willingness to contribute to the success of the entire team rather than operating independently or with an individual‑ego mindset.

Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of the firm's Conroe office.

THE CULTURE

This firm believes that taking care of clients and taking care of one another go hand in hand.

Client‑Centered. Clients come first. The firm is committed to providing personalized service, thoughtful counsel, and an experience built on compassion and respect.

Growth‑Oriented. Growth is viewed as an ongoing responsibility. Team members are encouraged to continue learning, developing their skills, and finding ways to improve.

Solutions‑Focused. The team focuses on solving problems rather than dwelling on them. When challenges arise, the expectation is to identify practical solutions and keep moving forward.

Mission‑Driven. The priority is getting the job done well, serving the client, and moving matters toward completion efficiently.

Team‑Oriented. The firm values collaboration, mutual support, and respectful communication. Individual ego is left at the door.

Success is measured through the quality of client service, the team's ability to move matters forward, and the firm's ability to continually improve how it serves its clients.

The firm also places a strong emphasis on giving back to the community through charity events, volunteer opportunities, and other local initiatives. Each team member has the opportunity to select a charity that the firm supports throughout the year.
