Summary
CHS in Herman, MN is looking for a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to join our team! This individual would be repsonsible for helping with daily operations tasks including loading/unloading trains and trucks as well as hauling seed, fertilizer, and chemical to customers as needed. This is a M-F home daily position with weekends and longer hours as needed during our busy seasons. The ideal candidate would hold a Class A CDL with the tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain. Responsibilities
* As directed, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
* Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading including sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching hoses.
* Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
* Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
* Deliver products to customer sites safely and accurately.
* Ensure compliance with all laws including pre- and post-trip reporting and hours of service.
* Maintain clean and safe work areas and vehicles.
* Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
* Perform warehouse duties including forklift operation.
* Report customer complaints and safety concerns promptly.
* Maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (required)
* Knowledge of Operations and/or Trucking Operations
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English
* Must meet minimum age requirement
Additional Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED preferred
* Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
* Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
* Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
* Valid Class A CDL preferred
* Agriculture background preferred
* Customer service experience preferred
* Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift 75 lbs
* Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
* Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
