Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Pay: $32.00 per hour, based on experience

Stoneham Truck Equipment, a division of Stoneham Motor Co., Inc. , is looking for a skilled and dependable Truck Equipment Installer / Service Technician to join our team at our Billerica, Massachusetts facility.

This is a full-time position working on commercial trucks and specialized truck equipment, including snow plows, municipal equipment, contractor equipment, aftermarket accessories, lighting, electrical systems and custom truck equipment .

If you have experience as an automotive technician, truck technician, equipment installer, mechanic, fabricator or snow plow installer, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

· Install new commercial truck equipment and aftermarket accessories

· Install and service snow plows and related equipment

· Perform electrical wiring and installation of lights and accessories

· Complete final assembly and preparation of newly equipped trucks

· Adjust and lubricate compartment doors, hinges and related equipment

· Inspect completed installations for proper operation, fit and finish

· Diagnose and repair truck equipment and accessory systems

· Perform service and repair work on previously installed equipment

· Assist with fabrication and welding when applicable

· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

Qualifications

· Mechanical aptitude and experience working with vehicles, trucks or equipment

· Ability to use common hand and power tools

· Experience with 12-volt automotive electrical systems is preferred

· Experience installing or servicing commercial truck equipment is preferred

· Experience with municipal equipment, contractor equipment or snow plows is a plus

· Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

· Ability to safely perform the physical functions associated with truck equipment installation and service, with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

Monday through Friday

7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

No regular nights or weekends.
