Because this position supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law.Job Skills / RequirementsPay Range: $16.92-$18.00/hourRole Overview Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Minimum QualificationsValid Tennessee Security Officer License as required by state licensing authorityMust be at least 18 years oldDuties & ResponsibilitiesPatrol & Surveillance Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concernsMonitor access points, gate signing trucks in and out; verify IDs and credentialsMonitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activityIncident Response & Reporting Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocolMaintain accurate logs of activities and incidentsPerform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)Customer Service & Policy Enforcement Assist visitors and employees professionallyEnforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocolsEnsure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)Required Skills & AbilitiesAbility to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsWeekend availabilityStrong situational awareness and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in critical situationsBasic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reportingPreferredFamiliarity with Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements (subject to change based on client-specific needs)Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without breakWalk a minimum of ½ mile without stoppingClimb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stoppingEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentNo prior experience required1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred2+ years of verifiable customer service experience preferredEducation Requirements (All)High School Diploma or equivalentCertification Requirements (All)Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses Tennessee Unarmed Security License preferred CPR/First Aid/AED, preferredAdditional Information / BenefitsBenefits: 401K/403b PlanThis job reports to the Branch ManagerThis is a Part-Time position 3rd Shift, Weekends, Saturday & Sunday 7:00pm-7:00am.
