We're committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone's empowered to be their best.Our truckline technician position focuses on modifying, upgrading and fabricating heavy-duty trucks to meet specific client needs, aesthetic preferences or specialized operational requirements. This role involves a blend of mechanical repair, structural fabrication and modifications to ensure vehicles are both functional and operationally distinct.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Welding: Cut, shape and weld steel and aluminum components to customize truck frames, bodies and chassis.Upfitting & Installation: Install specialized equipment, including liftgates, dump kits, service bodies and accessory packages.Blueprints & Specs: Read & interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and work orders to ensure precise, high-quality fabrication.Safety & Quality Control: Adhere to safety protocols, inspect finished work for structural integrity and troubleshoot fitment issues.Other job duties as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications:Welding Proficiency: Experience is a bonus. No certification is required.Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work-ready truck specifications.Tool Proficiency: Experience with shop tools, including torches, plasma cutters, grinders and presses.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces.Experience: Previous experience in truck upfitting, automotive fabrication, heavy equipment mechanics or automotive customization is desired, but not required.Career Growth Path:This role offers clear growth opportunities within Marmon-Herrington and across Marmon Holdings.
