Overview: Diesel Truck Mechanic A
Valley Cottage, NY | $35-$52/Hour | Union Shop | Overtime Available
Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is hiring an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic A to join our maintenance team in Valley Cottage, NY.

What You'll Work On
Refuse trucks and heavy-duty diesel equipment
Diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Air brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain components
DPF and emissions systems
Preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs
Requirements
5+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience
Diesel mechanic experience required
Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
Engine, transmission, and chassis repair expertise
Experience with Cummins, Mack, Allison, Peterbilt, Paccar, and diagnostic software tools
Experience maintaining air brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems
Ability to diagnose and repair DPF/emissions systems
Must provide own tools
Valid Driver's License Required

Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Fleet Maintenance Technician
Waste & Recycling Industry Experience
ASE Certifications (Preferred)
