Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.This role is supported by our bargaining unit union organization.Work PerformedAssembles, modifies, reworks, and repairs wire harness, electronic and electro-mechanical and mechanical portions of electro-mechanical units, including the integration of subassemblies into final assemblies. Mount electronic circuit chips and microelectronic components.Will obtain parts or materials for use in process. Will deliver materials or obtain tooling. Performs proofing for continuity and Go-No-Go testing using electronic test equipment. May set up and operate thermocompression and ultrasonic bonding equipment, parallel gap welders, reflow solder machine, ovens and controllers, component pick and place machines, seam sealers, particle impact noise detection equipment, gross and fine leak detectors and hybrid delidding machines.Able to utilize work area controls systems. Requires computer literacy Works from assembly drawings, shop aids, Manufacturing Assembly Instructions, Manufacturing Process Instructions and Shop Orders Must understand and use the barcode tracking systems for work in process and completion.Performs routine maintenance such as optimizing weld schedules, replacing wire spools, cleaning delid machine, adjusting reflow solder machine, adjusting special tooling, and general work area housekeeping. Understands and maintains specified equipment and calibration requirements Must have knowledge of calibration requirements regarding first article, in process and final inspection using required equipment or processes.Will be expected to perform quality inspection and acceptance tasks. Certification of ability to perform to the above is required and must be obtained from the quality assurance control center.Performs related and incidental work as required in the completion of the assigned tasks. Must be able to follow exacting written and verbal instructions. Must be capable of working on parts under magnification. May be required to train team members and new employees.
