Job description
UAS Pilot - Entry
Location: Atlantic City, NJ, USA
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Travel Required: 10-25%
Telecommuting Options: Onsite only
Salary Range: $47,600 - $64,400
Responsibilities
Provides expertise in the operation of unmanned aircraft.
Develop flight test plans and procedures. Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
Plans and performs a wide range of in-process and final testing of analog, digital, microwave, optical and mechanical systems and equipment under ambient and environmental conditions.
Technical knowledge and experience with UAS operations to facilitate their integration safely and efficiently into the NAS.
This effort requires collaboration with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, which includes manufacturers, commercial vendors, industry trade associations, technical standards organizations, academic institutions, research and development centers, governmental agencies, and other regulators.
Ultimately, technical knowledge and experience to support UAS integration into the NAS without reducing existing capacity, decreasing safety, negatively impacting current operators, or increasing the risk to airspace users or persons and property on the ground any more than the integration of comparable new and novel technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Experience: 20 hours logged as UAS Pilot In-Charge (PIC)
Security Clearance: Agency Specific Suitability background check
Passport: Valid US Passport required
Citizenship: US citizenship not required
Skills: Self-starter, highly collaborative, familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel)
Certifications: None
Experience: 0+ years related experience
