Job description
Overview
nWho we are
nCollaborative. Respectful. A place to dream and do. These are just a few words that describe what life is like at Toyota. As one of the world’s most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. We’re looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
nAn important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
nToyota does not offer support or sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this role now or in the future. You must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, ‘job flexibility benefits’ (also known as I-140 or Adjustment of Status portability), etc.) now or in the future. You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.
nWho we're are looking for
nToyota Financial Services is looking for a Senior UI/UX designer who is obsessed with the customer, thinks deeply about people and processes — not just pixels — and moves with the urgency of a startup inside one of the world’s most trusted brands.
nAs a UI/UX Designer, you will work under the direct supervision of the Manager - UI/UX Design to maintain daily communication with the extended team.
nYou’ll lead the design of end-to-end web-based product experiences, driving work from early discovery through production handoff and helping to set the bar for craft across the team. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn complex, ambiguous problems into intuitive, accessible, and visually refined experiences that customers trust.
nThis is a hands-on role for someone who can operate with autonomy, and elevate the people around them. You bring deep craft, rigor, and curiosity. You make design decisions grounded in customer research and business outcomes, helping define how we work, not just what we ship.
nWhat you'll be doing
nnn5+ years of product design experience shipping digital products, including ownership of complex initiatives.
n
nnExceptional visual design skills — typography, color, spacing, layout, a sharp eye for detail, and an affinity for visual storytelling.
n
nnExpert proficiency in Figma.
n
nnProven experience designing for web platforms.
n
nnAdvanced prototyping and interaction design skills.
n
nnExperience using and contributing to design systems.
n
nnStrong track record leading customer research and usability testing, and translating insights into decisions.
n
nnStrong understanding of Design Thinking methodologies
n
nnExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design rationale to various audiences.
n
nnStrong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across teams and levels without direct authority.
n
nnA portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end thinking and senior-level impact: the problem, your process, and the measurable outcomes of your work.
n
n nAdded bonus if you have
nnnExperience designing for native mobile platforms.
n
nnExperience designing complex, workflow-heavy tools for professional or expert users.
n
nnExperience with inventory, or sales-enablement tooling.
n
nnExperience in automotive, fintech or other regulated, trust-sensitive domains.
n
nnExperience working in an Agile development process
n
nnExperience designing conversational AI — chat, voice, or agentic interfaces (designing for AI)
n
nnExperience using AI tools to accelerate and enhance the design process (designing with AI).
n
n nWhat we’ll bring
nDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
nnnA work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect
n
nnProfessional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
n
nnTeam Member Vehicle Purchase Discount
n
nnToyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable)
n
nnComprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family
n
nnToyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute (if applicable)
n
nnPaid holidays and paid time off
n
nnReferral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools and more
n
nnTax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA) • Relocation assistance (if applicable)
n
