nJob Description:
nParsons is seeking a talented UI/UX Designe r to join our Joint Staff Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) team. In this role, you will design intuitive, secure, and mission-driven interfaces for data and AI-enabled products, directly supporting Department of Defense operational objectives.
nWhat You'll Be Doing:
nnnDesign and develop user interfaces and user experiences for data, analytics, and AI-enabled platforms supporting Joint Staff missions
n
nnTranslate mission requirements, user feedback, and technical constraints into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs
n
nnCollaborate with product managers, technical leads, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to ensure interfaces are user-centric and aligned with operational workflows
n
nnApply industry best practices and DoD standards for usability, accessibility, and security in all design solutions
n
nnConduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design to refine interfaces and maximize user adoption and satisfaction
n
nnDevelop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components for consistent application across products and PODs
n
nnCommunicate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams, advocating for strong user experience throughout the product lifecycle
n
nnSupport deployment, monitoring, and sustainment of UI/UX solutions within secure DoD environments
n
n nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
nnnActive TS/SCI security clearance
n
nnBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
n
nnMinimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for complex applications, preferably in secure or federal environments
n
nnProficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision)
n
nnStrong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, accessibility, and visual design standards
n
nnExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-driven products
n
nnExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
n
n nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
nnnMaster's degree in a relevant discipline
n
nnExperience supporting Department of Defense, Joint Staff, or similar government organizations
n
nnFamiliarity with data visualization, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled product interfaces
n
nnExperience designing for secure, cloud-based, or enterprise environments
n
nnKnowledge of DoD usability, accessibility, and security standards (e.g., Section 508, NIST)
n
nnAdvanced certifications in UI/UX, human factors, or design disciplines
n
nnDemonstrated ability to lead user research, usability testing, and iterative design in large, matrixed organizations
n
n nSecurity Clearance Requirement:
nAn active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

nSalary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
