Because this position supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law.Job Skills / RequirementsUnarmed Flex Security Officers maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. Officer will receive training on all site posts and may be assigned to cover any position as operational needs require. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance and access control systems, responding to alarms and emergencies, documenting incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. This position is designated a Safety Sensitive Function. Officers must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Candidates must be eligible for employment by Security Engineers' Indiana-licensed security guard agency. Indiana does not issue individual guard licenses. All officers must comply with Company and client training requirements.Minimum QualificationsEligible for employment by Security Engineers' Indiana-licensed security guard agency.Minimum age 18 for unarmed posts.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Customer service experience and professional demeanor.Valid driver's license and approved MVR when driving duties are required.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct foot and vehicle patrols to identify and report security concerns.Monitor access points and verify employee, visitor, and contractor credentials.Enforce site procedures and post instructions.Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.Maintain activity logs, reports, and documentation.Communicate effectively via radio, telephone, and in person.Operate CCTV, access control, alarm, and other security systems.Secure facilities, doors, and restricted areas.Assist employees and visitors professionally.Enforce company and client policies regarding parking, smoking, loitering, and related site rules.Maintain a professional appearance and uniform.Trained to perform and cover multiple site posts.Must be flexible to cover any on-site position.Required Skills & AbilitiesMinimumAbility to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.Availability for weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.Strong observation, situational awareness, and attention to detail.Sound judgment, de-escalation, and decision-making skills.Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.Strong written and verbal communication skills.PreferredMicrosoft Office experience.Physical Requirements(With or without reasonable accommodation; may vary by assignment)Stand up to 1 hour without a break.Sit up to 1 hour without a break.Walk at least ½ mile without stopping.Operate computers, tablets, radios, keypads, access-control equipment, and related security technology.Read monitors, screens, and reports with or without corrective lenses.Education & ExperienceMinimumHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Preferred1+ years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.Note: Duties, qualifications, and requirements are not all-inclusive and may be modified to meet business, client, or operational needs.Education Requirements (All)High School Diploma or equivalentCertification Requirements (All)Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses State Issued Driver's License (Not Expired) Eligible for employment under employer's Indiana security guard agency license (IC 25-30-1.3)Additional Information / BenefitsBenefits: 401K/403b PlanThis job reports to the Site ManagerThis is a Part-Time positionTravel is required occasionally
