Unarmed Patrol Security OfficerSecurity Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Patrol Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Minimum QualificationsMust have or be able to obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authorityValid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards.Must be at least 18 years oldDuties & ResponsibilitiesPatrol & Surveillance: Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns; monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials; monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activityIncident Response & Reporting: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol; maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents; perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)Customer Service & Policy Enforcement: Assist visitors and employees professionally; enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols; ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)Required Skills & AbilitiesMinimum: Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments; weekend availability; strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations; basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reportingPreferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation (subject to change based on client-specific needs):Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without breakWalk a minimum of ½ mile without stoppingClimb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stoppingEducation & ExperienceMinimum: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: 1+ years verifiable Military, Law Enforcement or Security Experience; 2+ years of verifiable customer service experienceNote: Responsibilities and requirements listed are not exhaustive.
