The person in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling the store; monitoring CCTV cameras and other security systems; deterring theft; responding to client requests; facilitating incident response efforts; documenting significant incidents; and helping to create a welcoming store experience. We offer competitive wages and exciting company resources.Job Summary:All positions require the ability to work retail store business hours, meaning long periods of time standing and actively patrolling the retail space - may come in contact with perfumes & aerosols. Regular attendance is expected, and actual hours and schedules are flexible and will be based on availability and business needs.Responsibilities:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premisesGuard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rulesEnforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistanceWrite detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMonitor for irregular or unusual activitySecure facility and designated areasEnforce facility and company policies and proceduresInvestigate and prepare reports on incidentsAlertly monitor CCTV cameras focused on protecting employees, assets and brand Remotely support the prevention and apprehension of external and internal theft in accordance with company policyRemain calm and clearly communicate with onsite assets protection security, law enforcement, and store leadership Professionally document and escalate all incidents in accordance with proceduresLeverage technology tools and resources to make timely, intelligence-led, data-driven business decisionsQualifications:Must possess high integrity, trust, accountability, and work ethicPrevious retail loss prevention, security operations center, CCTV monitoring, security, customer service, or criminal justice experience preferredKnowledge of how to use CCTV security systems and radio communicationsAbility to work well independently and as a teamProficient in the use of computers and Microsoft office softwareEffective oral and written communication skillsMust be able to work nights, weekends, and public holidaysHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMust have a valid DCJS Security Guard LicenseMust have two (2) years of experience as a security officer, at least 1 year in retail securityMust have reliable transportationMust have good communications skillsAbility to stand or walk for long periods, up to 90% of shift.Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periodsJob offers contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and background screenLicense # Certification RequirementsUnarmed Security LicenseCPR CertificationEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaAdditional Information / BenefitsWeekly Pay401K/403b PlanDental InsurancePaid VacationPaid Sick DaysVision InsuranceMedical InsuranceLife InsuranceThe following screenings are required:Criminal Background CheckDrug ScreenThe following shifts are available:Day shiftNight shiftWeekend shift
