Unarmed Security OfficerLocation: Secaucus, NJSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PMPay: $19.00 per hourPrimary Purpose and FunctionThe Security Officer is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and reporting all activity, conducting foot patrols and/or vehicular patrols, depending on exterior areas; reporting suspicious activities, suspicious persons, writing detailed narrative reports, maintaining daily activity reports (DAR's), enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance.Essential DutiesConduct foot and/or vehicular patrols as assignedIdentify and report security threats, suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, and hazardsEnforce site-specific post orders, rules, policies, and proceduresWrite clear, accurate, and detailed incident and daily activity reportsRespond to incidents and emergencies as neededProvide customer service and support as directedMaintain awareness of site-specific emergency proceduresComplete required training and follow company proceduresPerform other security duties as assigned by a supervisorRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid NJ security license/registration1-3 years of professional experience preferred; security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience highly desiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to write clear and concise reportsProfessional demeanor and good judgmentReliable transportation or access to public transportationMust successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing, where applicableBenefits: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401K/403b PlanThis is a Full-Time position 1st Shift.Relocation is not required and travel is not required
