Unarmed Security OfficerProsegur Security is looking for an Unarmed Security Officer in the Bloomington area with a strong work ethic and quality technical abilities. The Security Professional is expected to have strong observational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to various security situations. This role will require experience in SOC, camera monitoring, or general support to Global Operations. Prosegur is one of the largest security providers in the world. We are looking for Security professionals that want to grow and develop professionally in our organization.Shift: Sun - Thur: 2200 - 0600Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skillsMust be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check.Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.Post dress code may vary from a suit and tie, or tacticalQualifications we are looking for:18+ years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Driver's LicenseClean driving record and valid driver licenseCapable of following complex instructionsStrong interpersonal skillsWillingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.Knowledge of security operations and proceduresPhysical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift) Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds These physical requirements are essential to performing the job successfully.
