Will be required to work in a plant operations or a construction jobsite setting.ResponsibilitiesThe following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.Read and interpret blueprints, ISO's field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and understand specificationsFabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, carbon steel weld pipe, PVC, HDPE and stainless steel weld pipeMiter and fabricate all pipeUse beveling machine to prepare pipes/tubes for weldingLay out for pipe penetrationsMust be able to install all sizes of underground pipeInstall valves, pipe hangers, and pipe supportsAssist other craft workers as neededMust have the following tools, 25'Tape measure, (2) 24"Framing Square, (2) Torpedo Level, 24" Level, 3LB Maul, Channel Locks, (2) 1-1/16" Combo Wrenches, (2)1-1/4"Combo Wrenches, (2) 7/8"Combo Wrenches,(2) 3/4" Combo Wrenches,(2) 18"Pipe Wrenches, 12"Crescent Wrench, Plumb bob / String, Center Finder, (2) Small Wedges, Wrap Around, Rain Suit, Steel Toe boots and Steel Toe Rubber boots.QualificationsPhysicalMust be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., but may occasionally push/pull, lift, or carry up to 100 lbs.Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legsHand/eye coordinationMust be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform workWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy workMay operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all typesClimb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basisPosition may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and liftingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.May be required to work in confined spacesWill be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)MentalMust have the ability to communicate effectively with management/supervisionReading and writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policyAbility to use math/complete calculationsWork at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractionsDecision making skills necessaryDetail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe detailsCajun is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, pregnancy, marital status, national origin, citizenship status, disability, or veteran status.Equal opportunity extends to all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, transfers, promotions, training, termination, working conditions, compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment.
