Underground Utility Pipe Layer Assistant – Support Water, Sewer, and Drainage InstallationsYou will play a crucial role in delivering vital water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure alongside an elite underground utility crew. Working within a stable, family-owned firm, you will gain hands-on experience and build a lasting career in underground utility construction. This role offers long-term stability and clear growth pathways within South Florida's utility sector.Handle, position, and stage pipes and materials to ensure precise placement for the pipe crew.Enforce strict jobsite safety standards to maintain a hazard-free work environment on every project.Assist with inventory management by tracking, ordering, and reporting required project materials.Collaborate closely with Pipe Crew Foremen and team members to meet daily installation goals.Maintain open communication with field supervisors regarding daily job progress and equipment needs.Resolve real-time operational challenges in the ditch to keep utility installation running smoothly.Minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a Hillman or Pipe Layer Assistant in underground utilities.Proven commitment to jobsite safety enforcement and adherence to strict safety protocols.Demonstrated proficiency in manual material handling and basic construction equipment operation.Strong teamwork and verbal communication skills across field operations.Ability to work comfortably in outdoor Florida weather conditions across various jobsite locations.Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.Prior experience on water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage pipe crews in South Florida.Basic familiarity with underground utility materials, fittings, and trench safety setup.Competitive hourly rate of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.Reliable weekly pay schedule with overtime opportunities.Annual and performance-based bonus opportunities based on project success.Comprehensive health insurance package choices.Paid Time Off (PTO), including paid holidays and vacation allocations.Access to ongoing safety training and clear paths for trade advancement.Coastal Pipeline Inc. is a family-owned underground utility firm specializing in water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, fire suppression, and sitework.
