Job description
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse, performs general clerical duties and patient centered activities in a hospital nursing unit. She/he demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served on a designated nursing unit.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School graduate or equivalent.BLS RequiredSupplementary commercial school/college courses in typing, computer technology, medical terminology are desirable.6 months experience as Ward, Clerk, Medical Assistant or Physician Receptionist preferred.Annual validation of skills and safety, infection procedures.
