Job description
Leadership Role for Overnight ShiftThe primary function of this position is to lead and mentor the direct support professionals on an overnight shift.Duties include but are not limited to:Assist in the orientation of new staff and ongoing staff development.Assure that adequate staff ratios are in place, cross train employees, and assist in the management of employee absences.Assists in the development of program plans and be an active member of the interdisciplinary team.Ensures that a safe environment is provided and maintain program materials and equipment.Assists in interviewing and onboarding new Direct Support Professionals.Monitor and train DSPs on Shift Responsibilities and update as needed.Participates in in-service training and in team meetings.Implements mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Center.Maintains a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors and creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.Is flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environment.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPreferred Behaviors:Leader: Inspires teammates to follow themTeam Player: Works well as a member of a groupDetail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellEnthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestDedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityPreferred Motivations:Flexibility: Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goalsSelf-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside helpAbility to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organizationRequired Education: High School or better.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
