This individual is responsible for nursing care reporting, documentation planning, implementation and evaluation.Responsibilities:Unit Leadership & Team Oversight:Provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unitSupervise, coach, and develop nursing staff — with a strong focus on CNA support and performanceSet clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamworkClinical Oversight & Resident Care:Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plansMonitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needsEnsure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory complianceFamily & Physician Communication:Serve as a key point of contact for families and providersCommunicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionallyAddress concerns and support service recovery when neededOperations & Staffing:Manage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needsParticipate in hiring, performance management, and staff developmentConduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are metQualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - New York StateMinimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care settingPrior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) requiredStrong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountableExperience working with CNA teams and developing newer staffConfidence in handling family communication, clinical oversight, and regulatory expectationsExperience with dementia population strongly preferredEOE Statement:WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
