Unit Manager - Short-Term Rehabilitation (STR)About the RoleAs the STR Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Short-Term Rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while promoting a collaborative and resident-focused environment. This leadership position is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary services, monitoring clinical outcomes, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unitSupervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident careCollaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team membersCoordinate and implement individualized resident care plansMonitor resident assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomesEnsure care is provided in accordance with facility protocols and safe nursing practicesParticipate in resident admissions, discharges, and care transitionsEnsure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulationsProvide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staffParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoringCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team membersPromote a collaborative, team-oriented, and resident-focused environmentSupport staff development and promote best practices in nursing careQualificationsCurrent, active, and unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensePrevious leadership, supervisory, or unit management experience preferredExperience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferredStrong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skillsKnowledge of state and federal long-term care regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environmentStrong leadership and organizational skillsCommitment to providing exceptional, resident-centered careBenefits PackageCompetitive wages $45-$55Weekly payGenerous shift differentialsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLong- and short-term disability insurancePaid time off (PTO) for full-time employees6 paid holidays401(k)On-site employee education and a supportive work environmentWhy Join Us?At Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where nursing professionals can grow, lead, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
