Job description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available to work in the areas of cancer biology at University of California, Irvine. The lab focuses on tumor suppressors and oncogenes in regulating tissue homeostasis as well as their dysregulations involved in tumor initiation and progression. One major focus of the lab is the Hippo pathway, a key regulator of development, regeneration, tissue growth, organ size control, and cancer.
We use multi-disciplinary approaches including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, structural biology, mouse genetics, and large-scale proteomics to study the Hippo pathway in normal physiology, stress response, and cancer. Our lab has track record of training the best postdoctoral fellows to become independent principal investigators in different countries.
We are now seeking a highly self-motivated and independent candidate with excellent research training in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biologyor cancer biology. We prefer candidates who are about to graduate with PhD or MD/PhD degree or have graduated within the last 12 months. A track record of excellent first author publication(s) is required. The salary and benefit will follow the NIH standard.
