University Safety Operations Center SpecialistAs the university safety operations center specialist, you will direct and dispatch university safety patrol officers to areas of concerns and calls for service. You will monitor extensive CCTV system's focusing on buildings and grounds as well as intrusion alarms. Among other duties, you will retrieve camera footage for use in court testimony and testify in criminal proceedings when necessary. You will also utilize basic crime analysis software to assist in the deployment of field personnel and manage campus transportation requests.This position is identified as essential personnel in the university's emergency and disaster response plans. In the event of a university closure or evacuation, all essential personnel shall report.Minimum qualifications:High school diplomaAbility to work 12-hour rotating shiftsPreferred qualifications:At least one year of experience in a public safety, military command, or a dispatch centerCertificates, licenses, and registrations:Valid driver's licenseTravel required: 10–20%Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
