Job description
Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week contract near Hays, Kansas. The role offers a 3×12 shift schedule, 36 scheduled hours per week, and pay up to $2,300 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring urgent and emergency medical attention
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient status
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Assist with stabilization, treatment, transfer, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license in good standing
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required based on facility guidelines
PALS certification may be required depending on patient population
Previous Emergency Room, Emergency Department, or acute-care nursing experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills
Preferred Skills:
Previous Emergency Room, Emergency Department, or acute-care nursing experience
TNCC or other emergency nursing certifications
