Job description
Part Time Medical AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated Part Time Medical Assistant to support our fast?paced Medical Assistant department across our four South Bay clinics. In this hourly, part?time role, you will work closely with providers and clinical staff to deliver high?quality, patient?centered care. The ideal candidate is proficient in EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and obtaining vital signs, and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying patient needs. This position requires schedule flexibility, including availability Monday through Sunday, and the ability to travel between our South Bay locations as needed.What You'll DoPerform clinical tasks including EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and accurate measurement and documentation of vital signsPrepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environmentRoom patients, obtain medical histories, and update electronic health records in an accurate and timely mannerAssist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as directedFollow established clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and safety guidelines at all timesSupport patient flow in a fast?paced setting to help minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiencyProvide clear, courteous communication to patients regarding procedures, instructions, and follow?up careCoordinate patient scheduling, check?in, and check?out processes as needed to support front?office operationsTravel between our four South Bay clinics based on staffing and patient volume needsCollaborate with nurses, providers, and administrative staff to ensure a positive, team?oriented work environmentQualificationsFluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skillsCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent trainingCurrent Medical Assistant certification or registration (or eligibility, as required by state regulations)Demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and obtaining vital signs in a clinical settingExperience working in a fast?paced medical office, clinic, or similar healthcare environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, based on clinic needsWillingness and ability to travel between four South Bay clinic locations as requiredStrong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills, including use of electronic health recordsCommitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all clinic policies and proceduresProfessional, team?oriented attitude with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with patients and staffAs a physician-founded and led organization, ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare is what inspires us.
