Banner Health Urgent Care Medical AssistantBanner Health Urgent Care is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position plays a key role in supporting the work of physicians and nurses through clinical and administrative procedures.The Medical Assistant will:Prepare patients for exams and treatment by taking vital signs and recording symptoms.Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.Coordinate patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.Provide clerical support with patient notifications and documentation.Maintain a clean and functional environment.Order supplies and manage medication tasks.Develop effective communication with internal and external customers.Minimum qualifications include:High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.Active Medical Assistant Certification.BLS certification required.Preferred qualifications include:Experience with office medical procedures and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.Our organization supports a drug-free work environment.
